Here are five communities ready and waiting for a water project to be installed:

A large crowd of people – packed with young and old alike – congregate outside of the church. Loud cheers ring out as the soccer game, taking place nearby, continues. Today is the finals match, but that’s not the only reason the community has gathered together.

“Olivero is becoming famous!”As she says these words, Martha Butler de Lister, the National Director of Food for the Hungry — Dominican Republic, lets out a laugh. She laughs not because it’s a joke, but because it’s true. And it still seems unbelievable.

First, a brief history lesson: In 2010, Healing Waters launched a new ministry model to include scalable water treatment systems, health and hygiene education, and leadership and business plan development. We call this the Holistic Transformation Model (HTM).
