What do you saturate your life with?

For many of us it’s social media, or staying busy, or climbing the corporate ladder. It’s so easy to become consumed by these things, truly letting them saturate the core of who we are. We often forget about the millions of other people who also populate our world. What if we saturated our lives and the lives of others with meaning, purpose, and joy through monthly giving?

When we saturate a community…

Through Healing Waters International’s WASH program, clean water solutions bring jobs, economic growth, and infrastructure. It gives local community members dignified work as water store operators and distributors. Water is sold at a price that is affordable to even the poorest families in the community but also builds revenue for the community to pump back into it’s people. Families spend less money on doctor’s visits because they are no longer sick from water-borne illnesses. This is real trickle-down economics (pun intended).

Access to safe drinking water really does change lives. Children can attend school, dignity is restored to women and communities are strengthened. “No other single intervention is more likely to have a significant impact on global poverty than the provision of safe water.” (United Nations University & the International Network on Water, Environment & Health)

By equipping a local church with clean water, they have a tangible way to saturate their community with the love of God. Jesus met people’s physical needs first, then their spiritual needs. By offering safe drinking water, the church can then share the Living Water with their community, meeting both physical and spiritual needs. This is the Gospel being lived out.
