Every Friday morning we come together for an hour of bible study and once a month we head out of the office for our “Friday Afternoon Club.” Work hard, play hard is a part of our culture and we take it very seriously. Oh, and we’re dog friendly too!

Mountains! City! Yay! We think Denver is the best city in the country and we think you’ll agree. Our office is located in Golden, Colorado, sitting in between downtown Denver and the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.

Join our 2019 Summer Internship Cohort!

Our 10-week summer internship program gives college students an opportunity to gain professional experience, have meaningful impact and explore their skills with an established international non-profit. Our summer cohort consists of talented students who want to gain a deeper understanding of the work that Healing Waters is doing, why we are doing it and to provoke personal and spiritual growth and development as part of the internship experience.

Social Media Marketing & Events Coordinator

Social Media Marketing & Events Coordinator

In this role, you will be an integral part of the Development Team. This internship requires you to be flexible in this role and be able to move from task-to-task while remaining organized. We are looking for someone creative and highly motivated to take initiative and think outside the box on taking the social media accounts to a new level while staying on brand and within the tone of who we are. Some of the activities you will be performing with this internship include, but are not limited to:

 

Social Media Marketing

  • Develop & implement a social media calendar
  • Assist in scheduling and posting social posts
  • Craft compelling messaging and create original content for social
  • Coordinate content across all social media accounts
  • Build relationships and connect with influencers who fit the Her brand
  • Create campaigns & schedules to best market events.

 

Events Coordinator

  • Maintain calendar of events
  • Assist in communication via events hosts
  • Support Jessie & Kayla with larger, nationwide Her events
  • Research and develop best practices for tracking event impact.

Social Media Marketing

In this role, you will be an integral part of the Marketing & Development Team. This internship requires you to be flexible in this role and be able to move from task-to-task while remaining organized. Copywriter

In this role, you will be an integral part of the being a storyteller for Healing Waters and using your writing talent to bring people into the stories that we share. This internship requires you to be flexible and be able to move from task-to-task while remaining organized. We are looking for someone creative and highly motivated to take initiative and to stay on brand and within the tone of who we are. Some of the activities you will be performing with this internship include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Develop & implement a storytelling calendar in conjunction with the social media intern and Development Associates
  • Craft compelling messaging and create original content
    • Blog posts
    • Campaign messaging
    • Social messaging
    • Promotional materials
    • Press releases

Graphic Designer & Data Visualization

In this role, you will be working with the Healing Waters Marketing & Development team and the Program team by creating and designing compelling content that helps tell the stories and processes of HWI. This internship requires you to be flexible in this role and be able to move from task-to-task while remaining organized. We are looking for someone creative and highly motivated to take initiative and to stay within brand guidelines. Some of the activities you will be performing with this internship include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Produce content for web, print & social purposes
  • Craft compelling infographics
  • Create original content
    • Event materials
    • Promotional materials
  • Experience working with vendors is a plus

 

Requirements

Strong proficiency with Adobe CC

Proficiency with Lightroom CC a plus

Video & Photo Editor

In this role, you will be serving the Healing Waters Marketing & Development team by creating and producing compelling video content that helps tell the stories and processes of HWI. This internship requires you to be flexible in this role and be able to move from task-to-task while remaining organized. We are looking for someone creative and highly motivated to take initiative and to stay on brand. Some of the activities you will be performing with this internship include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Produce short videos for social media campaigns
  • Prepare and edit videos for presentations
  • Capture short clips of interviews in simple studio environment
  • Capture & produce content for marketing campaigns
  • Create original content

 

Requirements

Strong proficiency with Final Cut Pro X or Adobe Premiere or AVID

Proficiency with producing edited video from raw material

Experience and knowledge of shooting on DSLRs

Campaign Coordinator & Creative Development Intern

In this role, you will be serving the Healing Waters Marketing & Development team by assisting with fundraising campaigns, marketing and development strategies and event coordination.  This internship requires you to be flexible in this role and be able to move from task-to-task while remaining organized. We are looking for someone creative and highly motivated to take initiative with writing letters, thank you and administrative tasks. Some of the activities you will be performing with this internship include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Assisting with event planning & coordination
  • Managing marketing campaigning; tracking progress of campaigns.  
  • Assisting with donor communication
    • Written letters
    • Emails
    • Donor Gifts

Grants & Fundraising Intern

In this role, you will be serving the Healing Waters Marketing & Development team by assisting with fundraising and development efforts through grant writing, written proposals and identifying key donors. Some of the activities you will be performing with this internship include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Assist in developing targeted messages to donors
  • Identifying new funding avenues
  • Assisting with writing grants and proposals
  • Research potential partnerships
  • Identify potential key donors and creative funding avenues
  • Copywriting and copy editing

School & Church Initiatives Coordinator

As the school and church initiatives intern you would be overseeing all of the current school partners in the nation and bridging the gap between those schools and headquarters. You will be helping to coordinate and support their upcoming events, and getting them connected where needed. This position also helps new schools navigate the lesson plans and campaigns and to create that relationship and connection with them with support of the Development Team. Recruiting other schools/universities to be a part of the HWI School Initiative would also be a part of this role.

This role will do the same for our church partners locally and nationally. This position also helps new churches navigate getting their church body involved and creating that relationship and connection with them. Recruiting other churches to be a part of the HWI Church Initiative is also a part of this role.

 

  • Assist Development & Marketing Team in school and church partnerships
  • Researching school and teacher engagement
  • Communicating with teachers utilizing the lesson plans
  • Create follow up plan & track results
  • Work with teachers on lesson plans to create streamline process of delivery and HWI school program
  • Work with pastors and children’s directors

Program Internship Opportunities

App Developer

In this role, you will create an Android App for Healing Waters site managers to track expenses and revenues, calculate daily and monthly reports, and sync with an online database. The app will be multi-lingual (select a language, and it displays all text in that language). All content and logic will be provided by Healing Waters, we just need someone to write the code and set up the app. We are looking for someone creative and highly motivated to take initiative.

We’re looking with someone with some experience creating android apps. The internship may also involve making some improvements to our equipment operators app. Work can be done remotely if desired, touching base weekly with our Program team to review and plan.

Data Visualization Intern

In this role, you will work alongside and support the Program Department. Healing Waters has recently revamped the way we collect data from our projects, which now will leave us with much more information about our work. We need to find how to use that data to best communicate our work and impact to different stakeholders and wider audiences. This internship would have one foot in the development side and the other in the program department. It is best for someone who is visually artistic and also comfortable with data.

 

  • Explore different effective ways to communicate data
  • Consistently stay with the HWI brand
  • Create the visualizations (infographics to interactive graphs)

WASH Research Intern

We are always looking to improve and gain a greater understanding of the WASH landscape. In this role, we are seeking an individual with research experience to research various topics for the Programs team.

Topics would include:

  • Best practices in collecting health data or showing health impacts from WASH interventions
  • Best practices in sanitation interventions in Latin America
  • Global supply chains and sourcing water treatment components
  • Survey data analysis

 

Requirements

Experience researching and synthesizing information

Experience in WASH is desired but not necessary
